My last experience with Car2Go was fine.
Today’s experience was not.
Picked up the car - after driving a couple of blocks, I get a warning message on the dashboard of an imminent tire failure.
So I pulled over and tried to end my rental. And this is where the “fun” started.
So their policy does state: “Trip Packages are non-refundable and leftover time cannot be applied to future rentals.”
This covers all situations apparently, even if the car is defective, as per the Car2Go customer service.
I’m going to raise further hell about this, of course. But instead of spending father’s day with my family, I’m going to be on the phone screaming at people. So that’s great.

Sounds like their customer service is defective.

Easy then. Keep driving the car after the tire blows if they won’t refund you.

Any time I’ve used their service and had a tire light on, or an issue they’ve always done right and let me swap cars. Once I had a car with a wheel so unbalanced it literally shook itself apart and they paid for my Uber the rest of the way. What’s market are you in? Maybe it’s differtn but I was in NYC
Also, 8/10 times they have broken tire sensors

NYC.
As per the rep: I could get another car, but I would be charged again for the full six hours. Credit would not transfer.
There’s nothing specific on Car2Go’s website either for this situation other than “call customer service”, which is problematic.

Hi there. I work on behalf of car2go and this certainly isn’t procedure. We’d like to remedy the situation. Can you email memberservicesNA@car2go.com and reference this posting? We’ll be on the lookout for your email. Thanks.
