Has anyone figured out how to watch it in the US without resorting to an illegal stream?
My understanding is that it’s impossible to get velocity without a cable service. I refuse to have cable because I have zero need for it 99.99999% of the time.
I also don’t want to purchase the WEC offering - only to find that it doesnt work in the US no matter what I do.
Has anyone determined a solution just yet?
EDIT: Known Solutions so far:
Playstation Vue. 7 day free trial and no Playstation required. Credit: TheTurbochargedSquirrel
DIRECTV NOW. 7 day free trial and DIRECTV not required.

I’m trying a 5 day trial of PlayStation Vue. Velocity is included on the highest non movie channel pack.

Darn. XBOX One and no PlayStation over here. I have a PS3 somewhere, but it’s extremely loud and gets hot super fast.
Now to go sleuthing to see if anyone offers something like PlayStation vue

No Playstation here either. Vue has a web player.

Sign up for the free trial of MotorTrend on Demand. The first week is free, just remember to cancel before the week runs out.

Waiting to see if the beach house has velocity before implementing shennanigans as needed so I can watch it.

I watched it on YouTube last year. I have Velocity so will be watching it that way this time, but I was watching the 3rd round of qualifying on a YouTube stream from a person with the name of ‘noname’ and he said he was gonna stream the first 10 hours and last 5 hours. I would just check the live listings on YouTube though because I can guarantee you’ll be able to find some. You may have to hop around some, but it’s easier than having to sign up for something and then remember to cancel it.

I joined the Lemans organization website for free many years ago. They run a feed and show driver standings there. Just do a google search. You may have to do a translate on the page unless you understand French. You can click on an all English version after you are logged in.

MTOD is not streaming Le Mans for some incomprehensible reason.

Thanks. I ended up doing a 7 day trial of DirecTV Now, which includes Velocity. Hopefully the race doesn’t have too many commercials.
Having live television on in the background this evening reminds me just how much I don’t miss cable. So. Many. Commercials.

Ha! I watched it from the same “noname” last year I think.
I ended up doing a 7 day trial of DirecTV Now. Squirrel also suggest Playstation Vue with the same concept. Either option has Velocity as part of their trial.

Okay I double checked, you get in car cameras but not the race itself. Why the hell anybody thought that was a good idea is completely baffling to me.

That’s cool. I really hope Velocity has their shit together and don’t fuck it up like others have done on the past. We shall see. I’m gonna be that guy switching between the race and World Cup though.

Regardless of what your present plans are I’d recommend anyone signing in at the official Lemans site. I get updates on email for stuff in the months before the race and you can also shop for shirts, caps etc that are the actual ones sold at the event, not some knockoff.
