People talk shit about “building an engine” but this is how REAL mechanics build an engine. From scratch.

Story time: Before rebuilding the Willys we got the 302 engine running and it sounded fine, ran smooth etc. During the tear down we pulled the pistons and rods and one of them looked like the rod on the right of that picture - bent to hell. Cylinder walls looked good and the piston looked good. Must have been hydrolocked at some point but damn did it run fine.

Pffeh. REAL mechanics smelt their own steel first.

If you’re going to break it, don’t half ass it. That must have been one spectacular bang
