I had debated being a driver for ride sharing here and there but there is one question I ask consistently from those drivers, and its “Do you have to clean up puke sometimes?”
The answer is never no. And that’s where I tap out. The companies do provide cleaning expenses, though, I’m told.

As someone who has had to pay one of the cleaning expenses, I can confirm this is true.

I’ve done it off and on when regular work has been too light to cover the bills. My strategy regarding puke is to stop working at beer o’clock. I know I’m giving up on higher rates, but I’m also keeping my car from smelling like the bar bathroom

I have gotten that feedback too. Some people want to make the most money taking people home from the bars, and some people seem to avoid that completely and do airport runs.
My use case tends to fall in the latter when I hail a ride, so that works out pretty well for me.
