Major ones. Code release two weeks ago has caused no less than four in-place updates and three major incidents where treatment was potentially impacted. The release was to our alpha centers, and it goes to general availability on Saturday. There’s been two days of bake time on most of the fixes; nobody can tell me if they’re actually functional

One of my guys ran a $2000 pressure washer.... Without turning the water on first. So now it needs a new $600 pump. I’m paying him hourly, so he just earned $45 to break a piece of equipment in the dumbest way imaginable, and he’s been here for 4 months.

D’oh! My tiny little home pressure washer repeats that throughout the instructions - turn on water, run until a steady stream and then turn on motor.

Have Friday off so I am planning to head up to Big Sur and camp/hike. No idea where I am staying since there are no available campsites to reserve. So I am going to wing it and hopefully not have to camp on the side of the road someplace lol. Should be some spectacular views though at least!

I’ve been doing inventory and getting ready to update the 215 or so radios we have on our network ahead of a major system-wide upgrade from analog to digital.

It kind of sucks crawling around, looking for serial numbers. But it’s also nice because a lot of the equipment I’m responsible for keeping inventory of is in server rooms. Cold in there despite the blazing temps outside, no one else there to bother me, and mindless yet easy work that makes the day sail by.

Just sneaking in my lunch now while I prep for a meeting, then back to inventory. Not a bad day, all things considered.

I think I saw one of those once. But IIRC they were produced in very low numbers
