Talk about front end styling without the faintest consideration of where to mount a license plate.

Why does Hyundai hate 37 states and DC?!

HAHAH! Joke’s on you! my state doesn’t have a front license plate requirement.

But yeah, it looks bad. I have to see how a side bumper installation works.

I can’t believe its as good. It doesn’t sound as good to me.....at least in the video where Mr. Regular floored it.

The 2.0T gets a Factory sport exhaust. Apparently they are working on getting a Sport Exhaust for the 3.3T.

Maybe a Borla will fix everything?

I successfully drove with no front plate for several years in Wisconsin even though it was required there. We’ll see how it goes in MD/VA/DC.

Virginia? where radar detectors are illegal, 80+ is automatic reckless driving charge, and you get jailed for speeding where you would have simply got a ticket in any other state ?
No sir. I wouldn’t take ANY chances.

It looks nice and manual is “yayyyy” but I don’t think this thing is going to sell that well. They tried to distinguish it from the ATS in the nydaily article but I think it’s bound to be a similar story. I’ll be curious to see what these sel for new 18 months from now; I’m thinking $25,000 but that’s a guess.

This is better in so many ways to the ATS especially in not being plagued by a tiny back seat/trunk and terrible CUE. They seem to have done their homework from a product perspective at least.

Sales story might be different ,yes. It’s going to be a tough sell nevertheless because of the sports-sedanapocalypse so the dealership experience and lease deals better be great because depreciation is going to be bitch when you try to buy new.

This will be a fantastic used buy though like pretty much any Genesis.

I think it’s time to end the constant striving to match or better BMW, because it’s really not hard to best the Germans nowadays. I’m a firm believer that Munich and Stuttgart are resting too much on their laurels, and it’s even more so obvious now that even Korea has managed to make a more enticing entry-level luxury sedan than the 3 Series.

I only do about 10 miles of driving per day in Virginia, it’s usually in too much traffic to even approach the speed limit let alone exceed it, and we’re talking the DC suburbs here, not rural 2-lane highways like where that story took place.
