"HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles" (hondasfordsvolvo)

This might be the worst case of “ran when parked” I’ve ever seen. And they expect some one to pay for it!
Absolute horror show also finger in the frame of almost every shot. This is what happens when you leave a car in the woods for 20 years.
I would consider taking it If they paid me 350 bucks. And I’d take it straight to the scrap yard.
Oh and it does actually say it. Which raises the eternal question, if it ran when you parked it, why did you park it?

“Ran when parked 20 years ago” may be the best description I’ve seen in a car ad in quite some time.

going against the flow here, but $350 for a manual diesel first gen golf with clear title, that could be a cool project. Ground up project, that is, but still a cool project. NP

Maybe they think there is a market for siezed diesel vw motors? Would be good for a few body parts MAYBE transmission but thats it.

Thing is the old Golfs aren’t rare and if I wanted to have one I wouldn’t keep thit old NA diesel anyway I’d do an ALH swap. Those old diesels can’t get out of their own way. Like 45 is your top speed up any hill.

Right, I was gonna say. Even for just a VIN you could do a sketchy swap with, that’s a screaming deal.

had one of these and if that engine hasn’t already been rebuilt once, “running” means it couldn’t pull second gear. mine was rebuilt at 128k and after another 50k it was blowing black smoke and no power, again, and mostly highway miles

Yeah in peak condition that’s old NA diesels made like 50hp. Slow doesn’t begin to discribe it. On the other hand a newe Turbo Diesel can be a lot of fun
