I can tell you that, strangely, it works. The opening is smaller so you still get the same number of drinks out of it so you feel just as satisfied so long as you’re properly nursing it but only drinking about 60% as much. not that its cheaper mind you.

felt like steel. It was just on account of the stiffness of a smaller structure but it did feel like a steel can. makes me wonder how much less material is used compared to the bigger can.

Miniaturize all the beverages

Kinja'd!!!

7oz High Life is great, because you can literally drink a dozen. It’s a great accomplishment.

So, you’re saying one shouldn’t drink a dozen of the regular ones? asking for a friend...

I officially became an old man within the past month. Went from guzzling far too much Pepsi for 40+ years (especially Cherry Pepsi) to drinking pretty much nothing but low sodium Club Soda. I have been effortlessly dropping weight as a result.

Now get off my lawn.

Also, fwiw, a few years back when they released Throwback Pepsi, using the supposed old formula, I went on a binge and was loving it. Then I compared labels between regular and Throwback, noting Throwback had significantly more sodium in it. From that moment forward Throwback Pepsi tasted salty to me, ruining it for me forever.

Thanks a lot, hippies, and your damn health conscious labeling laws.

A trick I’ve used for years is to crack the top, but only a just a crack. I do this for pacing, but an added benefit is that while at a party or gathering, you’ll always know which one is yours at a glance.

The worst hangover(s) of my life were caused by Miller High Life. Dirt cheap 30 packs are dangerous when you’re underage.

I know, right!?!

Coke blew it. They had cherry coke zero, which I was drinking an absolute ton of. Then it disappeared from the shelves for months, leaving me in the lurch. Coincidentally, around the same time, Wild Cherry Pepsi appeared and I jumped in with both feet. Saw Coke had finally brought back cherry coke zero but too little too late, especially since Pepsi has a diet cherry version now.

Gonna stick with my club soda though.

My first year in college, I decided I needed to get in better shape for the cycling team. Over that summer, I switched to diet pepsi. By the time I’d lost 20 lbs when school started in the fall, I couldn’t go back. Regular pepsi tasted too sweet. I’ve been on diet ever since.

Diet Mtn. Dew is not the one you want to wean yourself on. Lemon-line metal filings is not too far off. What made it possible for me was the invention of aspartame. Saccharin would have made the effort impossible.

Latest “research” suggests that something in diet beverages causes people to retain weight and hinders weight loss. I tend to agree. Switching to saccharine/aspartame/stevia/etc based sweeteners never resulted in any appreciable weight loss for me.

No biggie, as most non sugar sweeteners taste disgusting to me.

I’m the same way. I don’t drink diet for my health, regular soda is just too sweet. If I want sweet I’ll get a juice.

Sometimes I’ll grab a regular soda when the urge hits me, but not to just sip on or have with meals. The sugar overwhelms all other tastes signals.

I cut out all soda a few month back. Now if I get a fast food combo (looking at you, 4 for 4), I take two sips of the drink and it just tastes super sweet and nasty. It may just be the water supply at the Wendy’s near my office.

If you even want to try, Diet Sprite may be your best option. You can actually ask for ice water (if the water isn’t nasty). That sounds really appealing now that it’s getting hot.

When I go to Chipotle (which is rare) I always get the free soda water. If I’m home and want something fizzy, I go for club soda. I’ve thought about adding Mio or something of the sort to club soda for a bit of flavor, but I never buy any.

I’ve never gone to Chipotle, despite there being one near me I’ve passed every week for 18 years. Some people pan it, but I figure a certain number of people do that with all chain restaurants. I need to try it some day.

It’s decent. Overpriced though. If I go, I get a bowl and load up on beans, rice, and salsas so I can get two or three meals from it.

I used to be able to turn if off like a switch and go off soda for months, but I found when I returned it was with a vengeance and that wasn’t a healthy pattern. Now its moderation and reduced calories that im after.
