Politics below: The stig eating popcorn is me right now.

The Liberals had no chance of of winning, but by no means where the PC (Provincial Conservatives) & NDP great options. I agree that change was needed, but not this extreme. The PC’s are least deadly of the 2 poisons. I’m not shocked the PC’s won.

As far as I understood Canadian politics, the NDP is a bit of an extreme party? perhaps I have the wrong idea, I’ve also read that the Liberals are basically moderates nowadays and that they alienated some voters because of that.

I mean.. the candidate for the socialist party here in Mexico isn’t socialist and anti gay mysoginist.... whereas the guy from the conservative party is pro raising the minimum wage and pro choice, and pro gay marriage... so Mexican politics are complex too.


Which is kind of moot because both gay marriage and abortion are already deemed constitutional and lawful by the supreme court, but hey! pandering is pandering.

I laugh now at Ford winning in Ontario, but next year Alberta’s pretty much guaranteed to be voting in Jason Kenney. Which’ll be fun. I’ll be voting for Mandel though, though I’ll be extremely surprised if the Alberta Party forms a government, even as part of a coalition.

I think not. Ford is talking about making tax cuts but is very silent about where he’s gonna make up for it.

If Patrick Brown was still in charge of the PCs, they would have been a much better option.

But with Ford, they have a doofus crook who has been running his dad’s business into the ground and who has scammed his late brother’s widow out of the estate money she and her kids are entitled to.

I would have voted PC if Patrick Brown was their leader. I have a theory that the Libs payed the 2 women to lie to CBC about him assaulting them. The Libs knew he would beat them, so they screwed him over.

I get that. BC has very few things going for it. I’ve done some recon missions in preparation of relocation to Nova Scotia and AB. The only thing keeping me here is family.

I hear you. The living wage vs actual wage gap means I won’t be able to live in BC for at least another few years, whereas I could afford to live in Niagara right out of college.
