Remember one of last weeks cleans?

A white Kia Sportage, belonging to a sandwich shop lady.

Well her boss would like hers done,

a silver Kia Sportage.

At least I know exactly what I’m expecting.

I remember when these first came out, I saw the name and attributed some French cachet to the name, like “sport-AHHJ”

Then I learned it was “SPORT-udge” and it still drives me nuts. I’m not sure if your side of the pond is the same pronunciation (see: Prius, Celica, etc)

Maybe you should assign it to Spanish. “I’d be happy to clean you spor-TAH-hay!” Just to mess with them.

Here we’ve always pronounce it Sport-arge.

Sport-age just doesn’t sit well.
