What's the deal with this mini off road track outside COTA?

When I was out at the last C&C there was a group of Toyota trucks using it, but I had never noticed it before. I can’t find any info about it online, probably because I don’t know what to search for - what does one call this sort of course?

Dirt bike track. Nearly every race track and drag strip has one.

I don’t think it is. It doesn’t have any jumps, and what’s there would be proportioned more like a BMX track - except a really long one.

I’m wondering if it’s one of those test courses dealers bring 4x4 buyers out to.
