Aka the reason I had 2x4's sticking out the Miata.
In my desire to get the job I’m currently at, I stopped working out completely because... Well. I needed to focus 100% on making myself look good for potential employers.
Now that the job is mine, time to get back to lifting. Step one? Increase my home gym capabilities. Pull-up tower/ring station is a go. There’s even a pulley system! Er... In progress, at least.
I’ll probably put corner braces in at the top but the damn thing is rock solid. Roughly 6'9 means it works well for a wide range of exercises. Oh and I didn’t measure once. All eyeballed. Surprisingly everything is lined up! But, uh. Yeah... Woodworker badge - DENIED.
$35 and a few hours (did I mention I used an angle grinder for all the cuts..?) got me exactly what I wanted, nothing I didn’t. Being ceder, it even matches the decor! Lol. It’s in the bedroom because why not. I’m getting ready to move so things are all arranged oddly.
The next place I’m at will have a large home gym, so I’ll probably just toss this and build a more skookum version.
Hideous, but functional. I was going to sand all of the massive splinters off but... Who’s got time for that?

I take it you are on the ground floor - wouldn’t want to live under that on an upper floor unit given the noise isolation of high quality local condo builds.

Mid level. We’re all a fairly noisy bunch between 10-9pm, and then super quiet outside of that time frame. Almost 5 years and it’s seemed to work pretty well!
My “pod” alone has a couple with two modded 350z’s, a guy with a tuned Sti and a brand new Stingray, an older lady with an old diesel Mercedes sedan (blue, something tells me you’d like it) and a middle-aged sound tech with an Evo. Then there’s me. The 6th and final member of the pod? Lexus RX. So close....

As long as you aren’t doing jumping jacks or dropping free weights at midnight, maybe you’ll be fine. Sounds like you are considerate.
My building has a concrete floor on my level, but wood above me. Every now and then the resident above can sound like a herd of elephants, but generally will calm down if I slam the butt end of a hockey stick against the ceiling a few times. I suspect a home gym might be against some kind of rule, although I haven’t seen it.
My building has around 100 units (not a “luxury” building by far), a few enthusiasts over time - also a Z, Evo, WRX, couple of Porsches, a few MBs, but none as unusual as mine. Someone at the gathering a few weeks ago said they want a W123 in China Blue.
