After all of the fun of the Nashville Oppo Meet, it is clear that some people are willing to travel many (many) hours to get together. This is a reminder that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for August 10-12 near the Tail of the Dragon at Fontana Village Resort in western North Carolina.

UPDATE: After talking it up, I figured that I better make a room reservation, so I just did that. Make sure to call for a reservation - online it looked like they were running out of rooms, but I was told that this isn’t the case. Plus it is easier to ask for the OppoMeet discount that way.

When I got married in October 2004 the wedding planner/owner kept saying “Really? Saturday in fall? But you want everyone to come, right?”

We moved it to Sunday and everyone came :D

I’m still planning on being there. I’m rooming with Slowrunner, Desu, and possibly my pops. The Miata’s coming but I can’t decide if I want to run my R1Rs or my Sport Comp 2s for this.

I might need to get new daily tires before this. Going through on Friday wasn’t scary on the not-great Potenza RE097AS, but it wasn’t like my RE71Rs in the corners. It was also annoying when I was chirping the tires on acceleration almost every corner.

I doubt I’d want to put the miles on the RE71Rs, but that could be a possibility.

Well, it may be chaotic crowd sourced if he isn’t involved, but I’m counting on him. At the least there is the discounted rate, good roads and interesting people. We can make it happen if we have to.
