A perfect, unblemished, near concours non-performance Mustang ii with every option. 302, wheels, tires, trim, interior, factory vinyl top... optioned out the ying-yang.

There’s also this row, but who cares.

I love drooling over obscurities at car shows. That little ugly duckling is amazing.

Stop. You are making me want a 1954-1958 Cadillac 75 Fleetwood again...

Well, okay. Maybe. I must have completely ignored that, ‘cause I don’t even remember it.

‘58 is best. Although up to 63 boatillac is still fine.

My comment was that somebody had walked into the Ford dealer with a fat wallet and said “fuck my shit up, fam”.

And to think when that thing was new you could have bought any number of 10 year old muscle cars for a few hundred bucks that now have price tags in the stratosphere. That Mustang II might be worth $10k to just the right buyer. I love it and appreciate it, but it takes just the right collector to love these things.

I just looked and was surprised to find that I took very few photos. Maybe because it was too hot, but more likely because there was an overwhelming number of interesting cars there.

Definitely took note of the mustang II. And laughed quietly.

I just did a check, and it would have had a sticker price of around $4k as optioned (Ghia!). The MSRP of a ‘69 GTO was $3.1k - you could have probably bought two six years later for as much as this thing.

I didn’t get all that many, but I did also get the Nissan.

A proper post with the roadrunner, some GTOs, the 58 Ford, the ‘60 Ford, the Studebaker trucks, and some other selections will probably come up at some point.

I expect to do a photo dump later today. I also got the trucks.

58 is where it’s at, and you know it.

It is by far the best in terms of the all-important hidden-exhaust-looking-like-alien-face rubric.

Kinja'd!!!

‘58's also have dagmars. Advantage: ‘58.
