That’s how long I’ve owned my TSX. Long story short, it’s been a great year.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve put 13,000 miles on it and she’s currently sitting at 199,617 miles. I love the way it drives and while I occasionally miss my GS300, I have zero regrets selling it and buying this. I’ve only had to replace the tires, change the trans fluid, and change the oil (around $400 total). Current plans are to change the oil Tuesday, get the driver’s door lock replaced so I finally have 4 working locks in a car!!, and to fix/prevent some rust on the rear quarter panel. Potentially tint the windows too since sitting on the black leather after sitting in the hot Illinois sun for 8+ hours is instant 3rd degree burns.

Good looking specimen. What year is it? I’m surprised at how high the miles are for how good it looks

2005 but she’s definitely a five footer, lots of small scratches, clear coat peeling below the fuel door on the bumper, hail damage, rust, etc. It was only $4k after tax, title, and fees, had a full maintenance history, no accidents, 2 owners, and very clean interior.

Still, she cleans up well enough for a 13 year old car!

Does it take premium gas? Is maintenance and repairs expensive? Im looking at these for first cars. Manual or automatic, and which do you think is better?

Those are aging quite well. It’s the perfect size sedan.

yes and no, for me it is, for back seat passengers maybe not. I’m 6’ and it’s tight back there but it’s also great on trips to Chicago and can somehow fit 12.

Recommended but not required, although I’ve only gotten midgrade once, otherwise it’s been all premium. With premium it makes more power and gets better mpg, and according to the forums, there’s a slight chance you could damage the engine if you hit vtec on regular but it also could’ve been over-revved. Maintenance and repairs are fairly inexpensive, the same as an Accord or similar as they share engine and transmission (engine has higher compression, higher redline, but less torque and transmission is geared more for acceleration than mpg). It’s a fantastic first car, couldn’t recommend more. Manual is probably more fun but I lack the knowledge or teacher for a manual, plus my parents wanted to be able to drive it. The automatic is no snooze however. If you have any other questions about it feel free to ask!

There are just wonderful cars. My in-laws have an ‘06 that they’ve had since it was very lightly used. It’s got 130k-ish miles on it and it’s showing quite a bit of wear, but I always jump at the chance to drive it. It’s just a delightfully balanced and communicative chassis. They keep wanting to sell it and buy a newer car, and I keep talking them out of it.

Love it! As does my wife, so my main concern is that she will steal it.

Left town a few days after buying it though, so I haven’t driven it in a week.

I have mixed feelings about that gen E-Class, I love them but I also rear ended one a few years ago after my Corolla’s brakes went out

You’ll need to make a better memory of that car!
