The instrument in the middle. It’s a barometer, showing high pressure.

Kinja'd!!!

You don’t see them often. It’s fitted to a sample dash for a Horch, if memory serves, and seen in the August Horch museum in the old Horch (and Trabant) factory in Zwickau.

When you get older, you don’t really need access to a barometer. I just know that when my knee hurts the pressure is falling.

That’s cool, old school weather forecast.

That you get the weather forecast in cars only made a return the last few years, but it makes total sense if you’re going on a roadtrip.

This could still be pretty useful in a camping/overlanding rig.

You could get this in some toyotas if I’m not mistaken.

Vintage cars –of the coachbuilt, hideously-expensive-already-then-variety – used to have them. I seem to remember them also in pictures of DB4s, DB5s and suchlike.

Yes, a Horch would have fitted that description perfectly.
