I have an archive of old desktop screenshots for fun as well! :P
My oldest (Custom Desktop PC - WinXP Pro, AMD Athlon XP 1.8ghz, 2GB RAM, ATi Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB Video Card, 80GB HDD) circa 2005...I was big into gaming and just learning Photoshop, hence the custom background with Unreal Tournament 2004, Mechwarrior, Guild Wars, Aces High and a Dodge SRT-4 rally car (as I love rally!)
Current Windows desktop (Custom Desktop PC - Win10 Pro, Intel Core i7 3.4ghz, 8GB RAM, 250GB SSD, 320GB HDD, AMD Radeon HD7870 2GB Video Card):
My current Linux laptop’s desktop as well (HP Touchsmart 14 Laptop - Linux Mint 18.3 MATE, AMD A6-5200 2.0GHZ APU w/Radeon HD8400, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD):
My oldest Linux desktop screenshot is from a VM running Puppy Linux 4.1 from 2009...I was just new to Linux and Virtual Machines then and was tinkering around, came up with this eye-searing custom theme somehow, haha!:
