I like the offset crown. That would help with it digging into my wrist (I wear mine on the left). Here’s my little Citizen solar watch:

Most seiko 5's actually have the 4 o’clock crown. I agree, it is nice not digging into your wrist.

I just picked up a Pebble 2 to see what all this “smart watch” business is about. The company went under so you can get their products on Amazon for like half of what they should cost.

S far it’s pretty cool. I found an LCARS face for it so I’m happy as a clam.

Nice pickup. The separate day and date windows are neat. Japanese watches, particularly automatics, are EXTREMELY my jam. Basically, if I’m wearing black shoes, I’m wearing an Orient automatic, and if I’m wearing brown or tan shoes or anything else, I’m wearing a Seiko of some sort.

HHHNNG, that alpinist. Kicking myself for not buying one before they discontinued them. My small collection. Rotary chrono (quartz), seiko samurai (modded slightly), timex marlin and this new snk621. Just sold my snk803.

Love that Samurai. I actually picked up the Alpinist in Japan this year shortly after it was discontinued....and then couldn’t wear it until I ordered a new (and frankly much nicer) strap because my wrists are apparently not Japanese-spec. You can still order one if you know where to look!

It is pretty well known for it’s accuracy and overall the Seiko 5 line is pretty stellar. Nice find!

Yeah, I’ve been watching for a deal, but most are selling for >$450. I bit more than I want to spend (or more than my wife will allow me to spend)
