It looks solid, but just for safety, throw one or two strips of duct tape over it.

I know this series is in good fun and I appreciate it but some of these cause me to go into an rage. If the had just turned the upper member 90 degrees, they would get so much less flex. Like wise with the lower vertical piece. They are doing bad fixes incorrectly!

Replace the weld at the side panel with a piano hinge and you could adjust the suspension by changing tension on the top nut.
