Welcome back for another edition of Fur Face Friday! I’m Chuckles, your host for this week. Summer isn’t officially here for a few more weeks, but here in America, a lot of us are about to kick off a three day weekend full of beaches, barbecue, and beer.

I feel like I was supposed to ramble about a few things here (quickly checks notes from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). Oh, right. Mowing the lawn is still terrible because it’s been rainy for 2 weeks, it’s already too hot out, and I am genuinely sleep deprived because I’ve been perusing the marketplace on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and watching gameplay videos on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It is now 1:30 A.M. on Thursday night and I’m just starting this post. I’m sticking with a more streamlined, slimmed down for summer version of FFF. If you are unhappy with the quality of this Fur Face Friday post, please submit your complaint in writing and you will promptly be issued a full refund.

In case you’re new (in which case, welcome!): Favorites are chosen by one of the Snout Selectors (KrabbyPaddy, mrsfinch, facw, Xyl0c41n3, Chuckles or CBG), entirely on our own whimsy. WHIMSY. However, in the interest of solidarity, we try to select one dog picture and one cat picture (minimum!) each week. Other pets will also, of course, be considered. We love all your rats, bunnies, ferrets and other furry, feathery & finny pals. WE WILL NEVER DISCRIMINATE AGAINST CUTE. As always, we’re happy to dismiss any pictures if you decide you want them taken down at some point.

If you don’t have a pet of your own to feature this week, I highly recommend featuring and linking to any cuties who are available for adoption and looking for a home on any shelter or rescue site. I know I’m not the only one lurking on Petfinder!

In that sharing spirit, if you don’t have a pet but want to participate, drop off your best Internet find of an animal gif or meme or tweet in the comments. The more animal lovers, the merrier:) Speaking of sharing, feel free to share these posts anywhere in the Kinja-verse, because it has been scientifically documented that looking at pictures of cute animals reduces stress.

Lastly, we were all very relieved last week to hear that XJDano’s dog Max was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . He’s an adorable 14 year old dog, and a few tears of joy may have been shared around Snout Selector HQ when we found out that he was home safe!

Olive makes that same face! I ended up putting an ottoman at the foot of the bed so she can jump up onto that and then jump into bed. It’s better than waking up at 4am because the dog jumped out of bed and can’t get back in.

QuiQue wishes you all a nice, dry Friday. Here in Central FL it’s been pouring for the last 2 weeks and just yesterday and day before we finally had sun. But it looks like it’s coming back. I was supposed to babysit our friends’ son this morning from 6:30-8:30, but TeenSparrow and the dogs took over for me. After TS fed him breakfast and snuggled him to sleep, Mickey watched over him while she got ready for school:

Mr Toomey got a crinkle tube for his belated birthday. He turned 6 in April and I mistakenly thought his paperwork said May.... but he doesn’t know the difference so, TUBE!

Greetings from the tube, peasants. And one of the entrances had a ball on a string for about 20 min, before he severed its lifeline. Now I think it is under the couch.

I figured since his shelter paperwork came with an actual birthDATE, I should celebrate it (another piece of evidence for why I suspect he came from a breeder, originally). I remember seeing it and thinking “oh, he’s a Taurus.” Then my mind filed it away as in May, but it was April 26
