I’ve put close to two dozen hours into it at least. Now I’m just excited to see everyone. (Remember to email me if you’re wanting to do the distillery tour and haven’t yet!)

Dude you have made this way more elaborate than I expected. I still don;t know if I can go. I know that the pre/post things outside of C&C and lunch are out but i have literally been waiting on an acknowledgement of the event on the family calendar for months.

I cleaned my car last night. I’d say it was for this, but it’ll be dirty again before I leave so I’ll have to wash it again. So it can get dirty on the way.

I was debating getting new tires before this trip, and I think that I won’t. 5/32 on front and 3/32 on rear. I hope to squeeze a bit more life out of them.

What did you get?

I enjoy handwashing very much, and I think I have my processes down pretty well. One issue I have is drying - I have yet to find a consistently good drying method, though I think I’m close. It certainly doesn’t help that my car is black . Not just black, but non-metallic black. If a wrap was slightly less expensive, it’d be a very different color by now...

Nice. Sometimes CG gets hate, I generally have liked their stuff. I’m currently going through a gallon of their pink soap, honestly I think Meguiar’s hyper wash is better but the CG soap certainly isn’t bad. I also have CG’s butter wet wax and I’ve been happy with it as a top coat, going to do a layer sometime next week.

Not that you’ve asked for advice, but I recommend following Larry Kosilla @ Ammo NYC’s processes for washing. I have yet to actually pull the trigger on his products ($$$) but I probably will fairly soon. He recommends washing wheels first with a wholly separate bucket (brake dust scratches things), and then a standard two bucket wash.

Also, Collinite 845 is the greatest sealant and I recommend it to anyone whether or not they asked. It’s easy to apply, lasts months, and one bottle can wax your car like 50+ times.

I really just needed all the tools and it seemed like a good deal to base off of. The bucket that the dirt holder fit in was $15 alone so I bit the bullet.
