It’s been one year on since Sir Roger Moore passed on. In that year I decided to take a more positive look upon his take as James Bond, and have found a certain comfort in them. I may prefer the harder styles of Dalton and Craig, but In honesty, nobody did it better than Moore.

Overrated.
He had two great films (Dr. No and From Russia With Love), one good, but slightly overrated film (Goldfinger), and the rest were mediocre to bad. Halfway through his tenure he got tired of being Bond, which meant that the latter half he looked bored and uninterested in everything. He was a prick behind the scenes. Then he came back and did Never Say Never Again, which, while better than Thunderball, is still a piece of trash through and through.
Yes, he was handsome, yes, he was the first, but Connery is nothing more than middle of the road in comparison to other Bonds.

Dalton was my favorite Bond, followed by Connery and then Craig. Moore was good, but he always seemed a tad too much the dandy, and not rough and tumble enough. Brosnan was better in my view, but they are pretty close. The difference is that Moore was additionally hampered by some 70s silliness like that hick recurring sheriff.

Moore was the best Bond and I’ll fight anyone who disagrees.
