I’m trying to not ruin a car for a change but those VW standard 15s looked like trash. The Audi rep wheels look great and I wrapped them in Falken Alzenis 225/40/18 tires so they give a bit more confidence in the corners than the marshmellow 195/65/15 Continental Pure Contact tires.

I’m the only person on the face of this earth who loves the 15” Lyons

I prefer the 15" wheels as well.

I prefer the 15" wheels. And they’ll offer better ride and better pothole performance.

The ride on the 18s is surprisingly smooth/not compromised at all. I have yet to hit a pothole but having had many aftermarket wheels on various cars and living in NJ, pothole dodging is just part of life.

They’re ok. but they’re very narrow and the standard all seasons vw wraps them in are extremely soft and not very good. Certainly better than a hubcap.

My neighbor has had a MKVI 3 door base golf for a few years with the 15" lyons and the small wheels fit the small car better than the wagon.

New wheels look great. Use the 15s for snow tires, you’ll want them if you live anywhere wintery.

Thanks! And that’s the plan. Can’t daily in the winter with summer tires.

I have a new Golf with Lyons. I didn’t appreciate them at first, but now I like them.

Also, I like having 15" wheels with tires that’s have giant sidewalls. It’s so comfy on bumpy roads.

Agreed. I used to be a “put low profile summer tires on all the cars” type of person. Then I started commuting in the Bay Area on some poorly maintained roads. Now, I love marshmallow tires. In fact, I sometimes refer to my 2018 Golf (with white paint and 15" Lyon wheels) as “The Marshmallow.” It’s so comfortable. And it has a stick, which keeps me entertained.

I have the same car, except with the poverty caps. Former rental. I got a set of 4 Goodyear for less than 4 bills at Wallyworld. The Goodyears are so much better on wet pavement than the Michelein Defenders I had on there and half the cost.

Great new look; I haven’t seen anyone do this yet! Props!
