So my original plan was to replace my front tires after the Nashville Oppomeet. Guess I will be replacing them before that now.
There’s two different spots on the tire that have done this. This one I can actually see metal, so it’s definitely the worst of the two. I can only assume this happened in the last week or so from one of the numerous potholes I encounter around town.

Hey, could be worse...rim could be bent or cracked. The tire took one for the team.
Inhad a situation where there was a hairline crack in an OE rim and we only found out after almost a year of slow leakage. Hairline cracks can break open catastrophically at speed, depending on the alloy.

On the bright side, you get new tires with better grip for your beloved.

This is a problem I have with many cars these days... tires without enough sidewall

By the end of this year, I will have purchased 4 full sets of tires.
Dunlop DZ102 for the NA6
Nitto NT420S for the Magnum (odd wear patterns on all 4 mean my alignment wasn’t done right)
SL600 probably getting some Nitto or Hankook set.
Miata will need fresh winters in November.
It’s going to suck.
