Build beautiful things

Kinja'd!!!

Look at that pretty Aprilia now sporting a Triumph Speed Triple headlight assembly versus that horrid Chinese aftermarket light that was on it !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Well they are beautiful, but not reliable. Yet again it has left me stranded. Stopped getting fuel. So I ordered a new pump aftermarket for $70.00 since the factory new one costs $500.00. So yay...

I was going to ask why your Italian has British lights lol

Because it looks good like this. The alien tupperware that was on it made it look cheap and shitty. Plus the hack job the PO did to make them try to work was atrocious.

Yeah the 50 carb giving you issues?

Yeah, couldn’t get the stock carb to run the bike, have an upgrade carb that should be sized on the upper end of what a 50cc can take, but the new intake manifold requires some light machining to make it all work.

That is super annoying. I was happy to have FI, but now I am just frustrated with everything on the bike.

That’s the rub with FI, when it works it’s great, but it’s also been one of the most difficult things to troubleshoot on my past bikes. This was mostly due to difficulty and specialized tools needed when interfacing with factory ECUs in the event of a problem.

Carbs on the other hand, while they never run “perfect” can usually be made to run “well enough” fairly easily.

Well, at least you have something pretty to look at when it’s not running.

I suppose it is better than a broken Honda

Can confirm, as I have a not-quite working Honda, as well as a completely broken Kymco . Neither of which are nearly as nice to look at.
