Formerly a land speed racer (turbo LS in that guise), the owner prepared it to handle turns over the winter after coming out and taking a few ride-alongs last year (with myself and a few others). It’s badass and it’ll be fun to watch as he comes to terms with the new setup and unfamiliar driving discipline.

Do you know if the current owner is the same who owned it while it was a land speed racer? It was listed for sale in 2015 and I never found out what happened to it.

I do believe it is the same owner. He said he got bored/frustrated with land speed racing as he had achieved his personal speed goals and the number of venues and opportunities dwindled. Unless that all happened in the span of 2 years, I figure it’s the same owner who has just found a new way to enjoy the car.

I think we’re part of the same local club so you’ll probably find him in the results on the twinlakesmc.org website through the year. Yesterday’s results aren’t up yet but I did notice there is a picture of me running my WRX on the front page of their site right now. :)
