Orders DipYourCar kit for my wheels. Have I fallen down a poor mod rabbit hole?

I liked my pearl-white dipped wheels on the FieSTa so much, I have now paid to have my wheels painted with Lexus Starfire Pearl.

I’ve used plastidip on 2 winter sets of wheels with great results and longevity. I liked it so much I coated my S4 wheels and it lasted 2 years as matte black, then another year as gunmetal after I had tires replaced. When I stripped off the dip, the wheels were pristine and clean. I also dipped my S8 wheels a metallic black, but I don’t like it, so I’m going to change to raw titanium. The stuff works great and comes off easily if you use enough coats. And what doesn’t come off by peeling can easily be removed with the dip dissolver. It works great and provides a good level of protection for the wheels. And you can change it up relatively easily. So not a bad mod at all.

Sounds like a betrer finish than Ford’s. This is after 2 years.
