Had the summer wheels put on and gave her a very thorough bath, inside and out. Those double spokes are a PITA to keep clean. I think I also found a trustworthy indie mechanic who knows his way around these things. Ever since my indie BMW mechanic in Bavaria committed suicide, I was at a loss as to where to take her should something BMW specific arise.
What did you do with your car(s) this week?

Got my rebuild kit in for my transfer case. Then made a list of tools I’d need since the last time I did this was a decade ago at my parent’s house.

Did you wear two different socks while doing that?

Nice, nothing is better than a good excuse to buy new tools.

I... picked it up lol.
Also, a BMW mechanic committing suicide? Sounds like a bad FP joke.

The gaps between the twin spokes can be a PITA but a soft tooth brush will sort it.
Piglet got a clean the other day and will get another quick clean inside and out tomorrow as the car will be used to take a couple of colleagues to a restaurant on Sunday. Nobody gets in the car unless she’s absolutely clean.
I was hoping to have the lounge step foot rests for the rear fabric mats (but the guy is on holiday in Lithuania at the moment), (they lift the front of the foot allowing for a more comfortable on the leg seating position).

Those are fancy. The concept is new to me, but it makes sense.

The legroom in the rear is very large so it’s easy to stretch out your legs, but it can put strain on your ankles and tendons in your legs. Supporting the front of your feet can make it so much more comfortable.
Only, they aren’t cheap. £68 each. :( But I want them.
