DO IT.
Here’s what I can tell you:
Magnums were only built from ‘05-’08. ‘08 is the rarest of them all, and is differentiated by a unique front fascia and an updated dash. ‘08 R/T cars are the rarest, being even scarcer than ‘08 SRT8 cars.
Early Gen III Hemis had issues with dropped valve seats due to expansion of the aluminum head around the valve seat. It’s not uncommon, but most of these engines soldier on for years with no issues (my ‘05 had 188k miles when I sold it). However, this issue seems to only affect engines from ‘07 and older.
The transmission and rear end are bulletproof, and the rest of the car is built like and M1 Abrams tank. The front tie rods, bushings and ball joints will wear out about every 75,000-100,000. The interior is just “meh” to look at, but comfortable and durable enough.
$7,750 is NP, but I’d talk them down to something that starts with a 6.

The updated fascia and dash is why I would only consider an ‘08, good to hear there are other legitimate reasons to do so. I’ll definitely consider these more seriously when my financials improve.

I miss mine, and I’ve definitely considered buying another. My last one dragged a 6,000 pound cargo trailer from Florida to Oregon through sand storms, heat, insane winds and lots of snow. It took on a whole lot of wear in the process, but still served as a faithful driver for another year before I let it go. I had my NA Miata at the time and just wasn’t driving the Magnum, plus I didn’t need a big family guy car- I wanted a regular cab short bed pickup. ...yeah... a week after I sold it my wife told me she was pregnant. Seller’s remorse.

Nope. The ‘08 Magnum front end is bae.
