Time to reach for the skies, courtesy of the part of Saab that’s left.

Meet a Saab 105, or in this particular case a 105Ö because exported to Austria. This is therefore one of very few planes to be fitted with an umlaut as standard.

Kinja'd!!!

The 105 first entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1967 and with the Austrian equivalent in 1970. No other customers were forthcoming. It remains in service with both buyers although not for much longer in the case of Sweden.

One of my all-time favorites. Love the side-by-side seating.

You can even squeeze four seats in there although to get any kind of space in the back the front two have to forego their ejection seats
