Only 3 months old and not even 3000 miles :(

Got a call from my girlfriend at work this morning. She was stopped at a Red light and an SUV decided it wanted to park in her trunk. Currently at the hospital. Trunk won’t close and definitely some frame/inside trunk damage/probably more under the skin.

As much as we both love our cars, it’s an important reminder that metal can be replaced, lives can not. Shes in a lot of pain but the fact she was able to contact me instead of authorities made me feel a lot better about the situation.

I’d guess, but getting checked because she laid down at my house and can’t really move (not like she’s paralyzed, just from the pain) and is having trouble raising her arms. Normally I wouldn’t bother but there’s few times I’ve seen her legitimately feel like this. I dont think it’s anything serious though.

I had similar damage to my old cobalt (this was about 1.5 years ago) and it wasn’t totaled even though the car wasn’t worth much. This will most likely be more due to the parking sensors but i don’t see crazy frame damage, just the trunk sill pushed in

Hopefully all works out for you. As long as the girlfriend is ok (assuming you like her of course), that’s all that matters.

Take this shit to court and fight hard. If you need advice I can help, my dad went to court with his accident and got some good advice that he told me. They won, btw. We got $xx,xxx and the car was repaired for free. We could have totaled it, twas pretty fucked up. If you want this Focus still, try to get it repaired and paid for by the fuckwad who hit your girl. Hope she is ok, both of y’all stay strong.

If we have to get to that point we will. As for now, police were involved, report written and info exchanged, she admitted fault, etc. pretty open and shut case (for now). But if anything doesn’t come out in our favor we’ll do what we have to do. Thanks and I may be in contact.
