Yup, do the same thing.
However, I stopped fearing them so much, I have a really good PDR guy that can get dings 100% removed in just a few minutes.
I wait until the end of the year and get a packaged deal from him, saying 3-4 dings for $100.

Sliders. My rock sliders stick out enough that only really tall vehicles have a chance of dinning my doors, otherwise if they whip open their door in the hurry they are going to meet thick wall dom with sandpaper on it. That’ll learn em.

I narrowly avoided having a rockslide fall on top of me today. Was driving along the PCH to work like I do every day and rocks just started attacking me. Thankfully none left any marks but that was pure luck. Also happy I wasnt driving my Miata as those rocks would have smacked me in the head instead!!

LOL. My car was attacked by an avalanche of acorns. Hood of my car looks like face of Frankie Coffeecake from Bronx Tale.
3-4 dents for a 100 dollars would run me about trillion dollars.

Yea, that probably would be a full hood replacement, lol.
That sucks, my biggest fear is getting stuck out during a hail storm, luckily those are rare in San Diego, but it does happen from time to time.

My car is 2005. At this point, as long as windows are not busted, I can live with hail damage. I have my hood chewed up by acorns. Same for the roof.
Also previous owner wanted to clear off the roof of snow and climbed up on it. Bent the roof in one spot so sun roof does not open anymore.
At this point, I gave up. It’s the character of my car. I accept it.
