It’s not a shock anymore than big cars can be made to hussle with huge power and massive modern tires. What is a shock is how expensive, ugly and yet anonymous looking this Lambo is.

“they wanted more immediate throttle response and you just can’t beat a turbo for that”
Um. Do you know what throttle response is sir?

Anonymous? No way Bro. Bro you can get like a million likes on Instagram every single time you pose with parked in front of your private jet wearing your $50,000 watch and Guccis and diamond-encrusted kicks.

Last comment (sorry) but I think it’s high time we give all up the delusions that the reason people want crossovers is because of the ability to go off road. They don’t. At all. I mean especially in this “super hatch” category. Crossovers are in because they are tall wagons with all weather traction. It’s fine if you want to put in a traction logic mode that is more active for low traction environments, but stop setting up off-road proving grounds and pretending that it’s an important part of the customer experience let alone something it should actually be asked to do.

I hate it, and there is know way you would catch me dead in a Lamborghini crossover. Also, a Cayenne has ACTUAL off-road performance capabilities something I highly doubt this has. It’s a real SUV, not a tall hatchback. Hate they Urus with a passion.

So far, this is the only SUV I consider to be a Super-SUV (S-SUV) across its full model range. The Maserati Levante Trofeo is a huge value and a legit S-SUV. Bentayga W12 and JGC Trackhawk are legit since they can hit 186 mph. The Jaguar F-Pace SVR is extremely close and the upcoming Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will definitely be.
Wow, this segment is filling up out of no where. Still have M, AMG, and a few other 186 mph SUVs on the horizon.

Totally agreed. “I won’t do it, but it’s cool that it could do it, right?” see Land Rover, G -Wagen
Most Urus’s wont see anything more challenging than a gravel road to the owners’ vacation villas or the occasional snow up the road to their high-end Ski resort.

With this SUV I could actually see it on a lot middle eastern sand dunes.
I get your point with most SUV/CUV/crossovers though.

See with legit off road pedigree vehicles I can give a pass. I mean a range rover OUGHT to still be able to traipse through a rutted field in comfort because thats its raison d’être...what else are you going to buy that is S class comfy but can also take you to places you might be required or desire to go with bad or no roads? Or what if you simply want comfort on terrible roads as a higher priority than speed or performance?
But Crossovers? Vehicles that are way left of the wagons/hatch ———-Truck Scale? why? No one cares, no one HAS cared for a LOOOONG time.

Yeah I thought about that...which is probably why there is a dedicated “sand” mode.
But yeah. I mean its not like images of pathfinders past and their abilities factored into your pathfinder purchase decisions I suspect.

You know this is based on the same Cayenne and Q7 platform right? Plus 95% of the intended owners will never take it offroad. It’s a Big, Fast, Ugly, In-Your-Face ,All-Weather Rhinoceros but it has the road presence. Same reason the AMG, M SUVs exist.
People who care for true luxury off road domination would get a Land Rover, Land Cruiser or G-Wagen and even those are driven mostly by rich housewives.

Oh yeah, I forgot how many tasteless fools there are out there. Sorry TChalla. Just that if I wanted an SUV it’d be one for offroading and a sports car for speed, then something like a Rolls or Bentley for luxury.

How awesome could it have been if they made this a true follow-up to the LM002 as a big V12 powered body-on-frame G63 killer instead of just another fast crossover with a storied name glued on
