How can we aspire to be like the city atop the hill if that city is becoming a wasteland? It’s not the right’s fault (if you think I’m blaming you), or the left’s fault. It’s political apathy people being lazy, entitled, and irrational.

I mean, I think that was probably applicable when Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura won political offices. They were just big names and a portion of the voters likely had no idea what their policy stances were, they just said, “Fuck it—let’s see what they do...”

Honestly, if Arnie were born a U.S. citizen, I’d beg for him to be the head of the Republican party rather than Trump. Sure, it’d come with scandals and issues where I’d fall on the other side of the spectrum, but I think he’d respond to criticism far better, listen to his advisers, and not be out to fuck the poor over/undo everything done by a black guy he didn’t like.

Goddammit, we’re emulating the *not-good*   parts of Demolition Man . Where’s my dinner and dancing at Taco Bell? And my Oldsmobile 442!

Bringing it back to cars, I saw Don Blankenship’s son run in a late model a few years back at the World of Outlaws Championship in Charlotte. He was pretty good, but his dad’s legal issues shut down the race team.
