Just remember how much I used to like the early 311 stuff (early/mid 90s).
They were one of the first mainstream rock/rap/reggae/etc bands, which was especially unique considering they came from Omaha. Their use of the high-pitched, shallow piccolo snare drum was rare at the time, but quickly gained popularity.
I never knew there was an official video for “Do You Right” until just now.

Won tickets for 311/Offspring this summer. On the fence tho, I’ve seen them a lot. Usualy with slightly stoopid.

If 311 would do an old-school show, I’d love to go. I’m just not a big fan of their later stuff (ie, anything after the blue album)

It should be a federal crime to mention the term reggae when referring to bands like 311.
I refer to this music genre as vaperock.

they usually pepper some old in, but yeah mostly new stuff.
