The doc put me on an opiate of some sort (tramadol). Thank fuck he did since regular Advil doesn’t seem to do anything.

My face is swollen, ridiculous, and it still hurts despite the painkillers. I miss eating, drinking, and smoking (mostly the eating though). I also have a lot of bruising around my lipo from whatever they used to keep my mouth open, and that hurts quite a bit, too.

I’m just thankful that I have a reasonable employer and manager - this is all paid sick leave. One less thing to worry about, I suppose.

first, ouch. been there. My dentist got a customer for life out of my wisdom teeth job. Had had surgery recommended, bur he just popped em outlikeno big deal. Took the 2 days off work because I could. Wisdom teeth is a hall pass to act as miserable as you want, be sure to use it no one will question you. and feel better soon.

I’m about to make you jealous: When I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I was out playing basketball with my neighbors just a few hours later. It never hurt, even the slightest bit. I just got home, watched How It’s Made until I stopped bleeding, and then went outside to see what everyone was doing.

Very lucky.

All that being said, staying home playing video games during recovery isn’t all bad. I do miss solid food, though. I don’t think I could open my mouth wide enough to even eat a double cheeseburger. Maybe that’s what I’ll have after it recovers a bit more.

Apparently my wisdom teeth had deep roots and were pretty deep in the jawbone so it needed a lot of drilling.

Oddly enough, my regular dentist drilled out one side while I was awake, but said he really couldn’t do the other side because of how deep the teeth were int he jawbone and referred me to the surgeon.

Thank fuck I have great dental coverage.
