So I’m in Brazil for work for a few weeks and I decided to head to Maresais for the long holiday weekend. It never gets old to me that there is free emergency roadside WiFi available here. My kids would be thrilled.
I rented a Renault somethingorother small car for the trip. I’m planning on posting up a full review in a few days.

It seems like countries generally copy the American system for signage (green) or the euro system (blue)
I much prefer the euro one, much more clear.

This is the same style of sign they use for call boxes in California.

Perhaps its a baf example, but generally signs in the US are green as far as I can remember... We copied that.... And in europe most signs are blue.

Wait, are you going to Maresias, São Paulo by any chance?
My beach house is there (or here, as I’m in Maresias right now for the long weekend), I spend most weekend here!

What type of signs?
Service signs are blue in the US.

Guide signs.
A-52 Galicia:
Interstate 405, California:
Federal Highway 45, Queretaro:
Perhaps it’s a bad example of Mexican signage (not that we have good examples) but having driven in Galicia and California I find the euro signs better and clearer.

That’s exactly where I am. Love it here. Headed to bed though. Need to drive back to Campinas in the morning.

Same here, but I’m probably going back to São Paulo after lunch, Waze is predicting heavy traffic tomorrow morning.
If you see a black Passat Variant with a lizard sticker in the trunk driving around, it’s probably me.

I see what you’re saying.
The type of sign in this case is the type that would be blue in the US as well. If this was a direction sign, yes, it would appear European to me as well.

I left by 8:30 and traffic wasn’t bad. I avoid Sao Paulo though and head up through Caragua and take Rod. dos Tamoios. More fun drive and about the same time to get to Campinas. If I get to come back down here I’ll message you. Although I think this might be my last trip. Project is wrapping up.

Most of the drive from Campinas to Maresias it is just call boxes. But you get closer to the coast and higher population and they have been switched out with WiFi. Which I don’t understand because I had great LTE signal the whole time.
