Did some things with the nice weather. Removed the window vents and bug deflector from my tow rig. I think it looks much better without them.
I’ve also been working on wiring a new stereo system in our boat. All I have left is to build the sub box and install the sub. And the ground dried out enough to pull it out of storage this weekend.

It was a great find...especially for how clean it is here in the salt belt

Man, I was drooling over that truck last weekend.

mmmm. I need to get my boat summerified. To much to do. Carbs can wait. It will be tough finding time just to swap out the lower unit oil.
Who wants to buy a Jalop edition boat? Runs great! Floats too!

I’m glad I got a boat with fuel injection. I need to change the engine oil still though but the lower unit oil was already swapped when it was winterized.
I still have a lot to do as well. Finish the stereo. Add the hydro-foil to the out drive (hoping this helps get this beast on plane). Install new pitot tube for speedometer. Re-upholster seat cushions in cuddy. Give it a good wax and polish. Touch up bottom paint.
Shit...writing that all out makes it seem much more daunting.

I swear it works. I only park it over the winter!

All those jobs are best accomplished on the lake on a sunny day with a beer in hand.
I’m thiiiiiis close to dumping my boat and never dealing with carbs again.

Do you know what you have? IF you do, I’ll pay you $500, final offer

That’s a bit low. Had you thrown in a used/broken PS2 and some used chewing gum I would have agreed.

All I’ve got is a DS Lite with a busted hinge

I always have a long punchlist of thing to do to the boat before putting it in the water. And I almost always do the bare minimum, then chip away at the rest throughout the spring/summer/next season. It’s never DONE

I should actually get most (if not all) of it done this week. My wife is out of town right now...it’s always miraculous how much work I get done when she’s gone lol.

It’s funny, I get a lot done, too - even though when she’s gone I’m also the only caregiver for my two little kids. But as long as it’s a project that can be done inside or very near to my house, I can get it done because I’m tethered to the house with no one to talk to once the kids are asleep at night.
The boat, however, is 15 minutes away. Next weekend I’m hoping to have some time. But what I really need is a whole afternoon. Not likely.
