The handle on our storm door broke, and then the replacement that my partner installed also broke. So today it was my turn. Success!

I’d like to replace the door altogether, but we have to get any exterior repairs or changes approved by the HOA. Plus, we really need to replace the rear storm door first.

I don’t think the first replacement broke because of anything that he did, just that the handle was a bad design and poorly made. Hopefully this one will last.

Now I’m off to go for a nice drive before I come home to clean, do laundry and make dinner for us.

I installed closet doors today, because I had pinched the doors from the closet in my bedroom to go into the office, which left the bedroom without closet doors.

The room that eventually became the office was without closet doors since I bought the house. Previous owners did.....something...with them and I could not be bothered because it was a storage room.

Wow HOAs are picky. Surprised you dont have to get approval from them on what you want to eat.

Im big anti-HOA. :P

Ours is not that bad, really. They’ll approve most stuff. But it takes time so spontaneous repairs or upgrades aren’t really possible.

We replaced a nasty old metal sliding closet door in front of the washer and dryer, but it was only sort of successful. We didn’t realize that it didn’t have a drilled hole for the handle and we don’t have a drill, so it has no handle. And the color is slightly off. But it’s still better than the old one.
