FCA and DCX have been doing this as long as I can remember. Some Sienna models too, IIRC.
At least they integrate it into the window glass, which is more than I can say for Honda.

It does, but not a big deal. The sliders are still best in the garage. No door dings on my car. Makes me happy.

I think the WK2 platform is pretty good... myself have a wk2 jeep and its almost never a nuisanse.
But I like the pacifica too, I want my mom to change her stupid gmt900 for one... if you know any bad things about it let me know!

I’d avoid the first year of them, been seeing some goofy issues. We had a couple during the winter that locked up the parking brake for no reason, one while driving on the the lot, the other while in a customer’s possession.
It seems to be a programming issue for when there is wheelspin at the front, but not a lot of movement at the rear... for some reason it automatically engages the parking brake.
As far as I know FCA doesn’t have a lot of complaints, or a fix.
I’d get a 2018 or 19, when those kinds of issues are ironed out.

What happens when you are getting gas, and the kid jumps out after deciding they need to run in to the restroom? Does the door open into the nozzle?

I’ve been told it stops when the door sensor hits the fuel door, but haven’t tried that to test it.

Can confirm there is an interlock that keeps the door from opening. Tested it this morning.

Over 40k miles on ours without too many issues for an early build. Couple of recalls and the trans is a bit funny shifting, but seems like it’s an issue with the trans in general. Meaning it’s normal for what it is. Time will tell. We have the lifetime mopar warranty just in case. Figured we’ll drive it in the ground.
