Reposting for the afternoon crowd. My friends are supporting this bad idea and I got approval from the wife. The odds of the frame being saved by the mud are low. [I called after work. I am 4th on the list. The 1st guy already flaked, so I am 3rd on the list?]

i kind of want it as a lawn ornament... barbeque in the trunk... toolboxes under the hood... maybe a comfy beanbag and an ashtray inside for those rainy days...
i really need to fix my gate first tho as the local kids would be all over that (as is ive barely trained them to knock on the front door rather that walk round back and just come in)

It’d be a fun decoration, but as a car, it’s gone. You can get a lovely one for 10K, and you can’t get there from here.

2 or 3 pieces of tin and some welding it’ll be good as gold!

I don’t normally endorse S10 frame swaps, but on this one it might be appropriate.
Also,
By which I mean steel tools, if you find yourself in range.

It is NP just for the glass alone, and if the garage kept engine looks okay! I have to walk away from my computer...

I would too.

It’s more of a vaguely car-shaped substance at this point ... but yeah, I can’t help but want it too.

In rust we trust! Go for it. Let us live vicariously through your project

Clearly what you need to do is graft this body onto a Tesla Model 3 floorpan and powertrain.

That’s pretty rusty... My dad and I have brought back some rahter basket-case Studebakers over the years, but this one I’m not sure of. For $250, though- totally worth a look. If the bullet nose grille is intact and not too badly pitted it’s worth at least $300!
