Need it for a photshoot and Lexus of Nashville was happy to oblige. Hopefully the piece I’m working on comes through! Links when it’s done.

Manual IS250? Or did they kill that when the 3IS came out?
![]() 04/26/2018 at 19:03 |

that was killed before the 2IS finished I think

Much weirder then a IS but no manual.

ES-F?
Kidding aside, if it’s a new Lexus I’m guessing it’s a GS hybrid. That’s the only car in their current lineup that I NEVER see.
![]() 04/26/2018 at 20:09 |

It is a hybrid but not a GS!

LC Hybrid?
![]() 04/26/2018 at 20:25 |

Ah, so LC or LS? Guessing the former?

LC with the 4-speed auto?
![]() 04/26/2018 at 20:44 |

I guess it’s not that rare lol...

Is hat what the LC500h breaks down to?

Nopeeee

So, RXLH?
I wonder if my wife would have wanted the L if it was out then. Suspect yes, but she loves the RX350 she got.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 09:03 |

I don’t think this one is an L but there was only one Hybrid between the two huge Nashville dealers. I have to go to the farther one to snag it. First dealer said there tough to find right now and 2nd didn’t even know if it had been sold ha.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 09:46 |

I’m surprised - my wife test drove the RX-H back in December, and the dealer had a few of them, I think? Those were 2017 models at that time.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 09:49 |

I think it’s right in the middle of 2018-2019 switch over so some dealers are running low on the more rare cars. Neither dealer has an LC.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 09:57 |

They’re a little off on their MY changes if that’s true. At Thanksgiving, our local dealers ONLY had 2017 MY RX’s - no 2018's. And frankly, they had a lot of 2017's, too. And 5 months later they’re running low on 2018's? Weird - but the more rare cars are always a crapshoot.
I’m currently shopping for my car, and have pretty much narrowed it down to a single, uncommon model - specific to the 2014 MY. Not *quite* as rare as your IS-F, but still a headache to shop for.

GS450h? Those are wonderful but real hard to find.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 10:01 |

No - not a Lexus. 2014 E550 Merc.
The mid-cycle update came in 2014, and the 550 was replaced by the 400 in 2015.
Twin-turbo V8 luxury, running way under the radar. 0-60 is 4.5 seconds stock - and the motor is a baby brother to the E63 and easily tunable to AMG levels. :)

Ahhh that’s right. My mother in law has the Cabriolet 2014 E550.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:08 |

That motor has stupid amounts of torque, waaaayyyy down low in the rev range. I grew up on ‘Murican V8 power, so me likey.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:12 |

It’s definitely fun. I think I like how the ISF delivers better but the Mb is sneaky fast. They are pretty close except the torque where the twin turbos are quite excessive with 40ish more haha.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:16 |

Yeah, those two cars have way different characters. If I could live with the size of the IS-F, I’d look at it, but there’s no way. And the GS-F, even used, is just too much monies for me (at 60k, I might as well get a new E400 or 540i).
The W212 isn’t a driver’s car by any stretch, but I don’t need it to be, as long as it’s not painful.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:18 |

Do you need more back seat?
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:23 |
|
yes - we have a giant rear facing car seat in the back of both Lexuses (Lexi?) right now, and if my wife gets her way, we’ll need another one, too - which means one right behind me.
She’s not actually thrilled with the GS as it is - my hard requirement is that the next car has to have at least as much room in the back as that car, and preferably more. The GS isn’t really all that roomy in back, relative to the size of the car itself.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:24 |

Sounds like you need a LS460!
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:28 |

The thought crossed my mind at one point, believe me. Reality is that I don’t want a huge car, just one big enough that everyone can be comfortable.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:31 |
|
It’s only 205"! Only a foot longer than the E550 haha. And nearly 2' longer then the ISF
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:36 |
|
GS350 and W212 are the same length, which is nice for me.
And my E46 is only 177", close to your ISF - that’s a fun size! !
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:42 |
|
E46 is tiny! That’s 6" shorter then the ISF!
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:48 |

Back seat is virtually non-existent in that car. When I put the car seat in the back of that car (which is only possible because it’s a convertible), no human could sit in the front seat.
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:56 |

So now you’re saying you need a S600 Pullman
![]() 04/27/2018 at 14:59 |

With goddamn flags on the fenders, full-on dictator style
![]() 04/27/2018 at 15:07 |

My dad wants a Century for the shops courtesy vehicle but he has all but demanded if he gets one, he wants the dictator flags on the front with the shop logo on them. Like this but in real lfie.

Not yet! 4 or 5 more years. Thanks Mercedes... You shouldn’t buy a MB just out of principal.
