This is dumb as hell, right? This is what happens when you let Corporate design the build.
EDIT to clarify: This is a Nissan promotional vehicle.

Nissan’s design team is some literal Scoob.

HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I like it. Could be more useful. The utility bed is there to organize tools that you need every day, the trailer bed is there for carrying bigger items you don’t need every day. Maybe.

That setup makes sense for some actually. its...odd...but it does make sense. traybacks are for people who tow 5th wheel a lot or load beyond what the stock bed can (hay bails, for example). The trailer is just a just little “hey we had a bed leftover” project.

is the trailer a smoker? cause if it is it makes sense cause you wouldnt want a smoker attached to a pickup and presumably right over the gas tank

I wouldn’t trust the judgement of anyone who chose those wheels

This is a good point.

Nah.
You aren’t going to smoke meat over a freaking gas tank. So they converted that into the eating (prep?) area and the bed becomes the BBQ pit.
Looks wonky but seems functional.

It is, but it slides out, and they also put gas stoves right over the fuel tank....the rear stove must be a pain to use since you’re constantly straddling or stepping around the hitch with or without the trailer (or you’d have to pull the hitch out of the receiver, which feels like one step too many). It would make more sense if, say, it was on the rear of the trailer without such a hitch in the way...

It’s a bespoke mobile kitchen/smokehouse. See:
Seeing as cooking elements would be over the fuel tank no matter what (though the smoker would run hotter longer), it doesn’t really matter which back goes where. And because it’s a Nissan promotional project, it just seems lazy/cheap/pandering to use the bed like that (truck-beds-as-trailers being particularly hot right now.

Looks a little like;
Nothing wrong with a ute tray, unfortunately I think this one is a gimmick based on those wheels and graphics..

meh, just a lame marketing ploy then. The CM trucks flatbed though is still the same, its sold to be used as I described. I certainly can’t help it if Nissan decided to be an idiot about using it.

So you put six gas stovetops over the gas tank instead? You’re a grease fire away from a truck fire...

Not really the same thing. The heat is much more contained. You can put a camp stove on a table and be totally fine. There’s probably a lot of people that use a Coleman stove on a truck bed.
It’s a lot harder to do that with a smoking rig.

That they went with the gas truck and labeled it “Smokin’ Titan” seems a bit off. I’m sure that was intentional as they didn’t want their diesel to be seen a s a smoker, but still, it would have worked better as a diesel.

It’s by no means new, but over in my Facebook communities I see quite a few people looking to do it. Usually pairing the truck version of their SUV.

I think it’s kinda cool. But I think the rims are ugly. And the paint job...
