Simple retro>future alien space ship
Always even when the contents arelack luster. I needed a radio for my new store just for background noise, and space is at a premium so I wanted a small package. It seems like lots of new radios are designed to look like transformers, much like new tools. So when I found this on Amazon I was sold. Simple clean design an FM radio and an six jack. Everything I needed nothing I don’t.

That’s neat, but “Studebaker”?

Edit, okay...I kinda want one now lol

$20 seems like a lot for a simple radio. Also, green is much better.
I love this review, though:
I bought the STUDEBAKER radio for my 81 yr old father. He enjoys sitting outside on the porch listening to his tunes.
Wonder what station the old fella listens to.

Well this has sent me down quite the Amazon rabbit hole...

Some Chinese company must have bought out the name. Damn shame.

*I’ve never played Fallout

Can get weirder than the Youtube rabbit hole, eh?

I’ve been playing Fallout 4 like a lot. Not so much the last few days because I’ve been working 12 hours a day setting up my new settlement.. I mean store.

I basically only play it to build weird stuff using mods. My current project is a 20 story apartment complex floating out in the ocean.

Old people love things that have less than 2 buttons and knobs. So this is perfect for your 81 year old grandpa

That’s awesome.

Yeah, but they hate when you take away all the buttons. Capacitive touch screens are not too big with the Geritol set.

I like the retro aesthetic as well. I got one of these for myself a few months ago and am very happy with it.

I don’t know what Oppos are saying here, TLDR, but that thing is beautiful.

That looks mucho bettero. Where can I get one

What about retro-future alien spaceship style?

I’m okay with this. 50s rocket inspired jet fueled futurist is always good

I know a few people with these. Really want one but can never justify the price for how little I’d use it.

I listen to the radio on it every morning and the reception and sound quality are lovely. The sound quality over Bluetooth is surprising as well which is nice when I feel like rocking out a bit. If you like the look and appreciate good sound, I recommend it.

I had to search online for an audio store that sold them. It’s not cheap but I’ve found it worthwhile.

Well, in the Philadelphia area, at least, there’s a nonprofit station that plays 1930s and ‘40s big band/swing and ‘50s doo-wop.
If you’ve ever been to a car show in the area, you might know it as the station that’s always playing on the speakers in the background. Even if most of the cars in the show are actually 1970s Corvettes and 1960s-80s Mustangs.

Evidently, Marino Andriani LLC of Upper Saddle River, NJ has the trademark for electronics - specifically compact stereos, boom boxes, radios, and personal stereos. Dating back to 2003 or ‘04, apparently.
A company out of Paris - the one in France, not Texas or Las Vegas - called Data Access SARL has the Studebaker trademark for automobiles and parts thereof, registered in 2015.

Haven’t been, but I’d be keen on a station that plays big band.

And another historic name fades into the mists of trademark law.

Yeah, unfortunately, their listening radius is really small. Only covers some of the suburbs in Bucks and Montgomery counties and a part of the city proper in the Northeast. I sometimes picked it up further away when I lived there, but it was a crapshoot.
Fortunately, there’s always ‘40s Junction on Sirius XM.
