Finally was able to give the car a full detail since new. Five hours of work later I enjoy it for a day until Monday brings what is sure to be dirt filled rain. Meh.

so my st is blue. isn’t it weird how the paint doesn’t quite match between the bumper and the hood and fenders??

I wonder if you simply just can’t quite match the paint with the plastic bumper, even if applied at the same time. My old Kona ST was the same, my girlfriend’s SEL does it too.

It’s definitelt worse in this photo because I’m standing in front of a building that’s reflecting/ending at the top of the bumper which makes it darker than it really is. But in person you can see it from some angles

I did the same Saturday and it’s been nonstop since Sunday. At least it was pretty for a minute

I can’t wait to get a garage. With a 12 hour cure time there was already pollen and crap on the sealant before I could get a wax coat down.

Im going on about a year of ownership now. Bought my kona on May 13 of last year and got this one January 28. Wouldn’t change anything, this is the perfect toy/dd car for me

I’ve had my Fiesta ST since 2014 and love it so much.

Cleaning is always good. Even when it rains afterwards, the water beading off is addictive to watch. The beads getting progressively larger until they reach a critical mass and run off the body, gathering other droplets as it goes.

It rained for like an hour last week and made my Subaru ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. Just from one drive to work in rain and the entire car is covered in dirt. Since it never rains in Socal, there is so much dirt that gets washed around and thrown onto the car anytime it does rain.

All it took was one rain here too which is weird because we’ve had a lot in SW Ohio. I’m guaranteeing it’ll be filthy tomorrow but at least it got coated, sealed, etc

I love detailing too much to really be upset. I’d rather wash it and get it off just to do it again than let it build up! I just finished my bottle of gwash, I need to pick some more up before this weekend obviously!

My only assumption is that things adhere differently to plastics and metal but I’m not sure. Here’s my girlfriend’s too:
