Much want for that SM, that 1st-gen Elan and those MG TFs are really growing on me!

Quite a few MG Fs. Did those get sold up in Canada?

I don’t actually know. Gut feeling is yes?

I suspect those are private imports. I don’t recall them new back in the day.

Quite an attractive MGA there, and the MGB with wide whites could be correct for the earliest cars, maybe 1962-64.

If you happened to see a black FX45 driving by with a rattling heat shield, that was me! We were out for a walk, then went for a cruise and ended up going through the center of town. It was fairly packed, and didn’t feel like trying to find parking so kept on going. I liked what I saw as I rolled past though!

Ended up taking the old River Rd out as far as it went, then blasted through the farm roads, out to Mt Lehman area. Got gas in abby, turned around, and took the same route home. Proper fun! My brakes were letting me know they’re about due for a refreshing as I decended some of those twisty country roads, at an, ahem, totally reasonable and responsible pace.

I saw a whack of Triumph’s today though, so guessing we got those?

Triumph was in the US market through MY 1981 I believe, I suspect the same or similar is true for Canada.

I did the same cruise today! Nice day for a drive

Beautiful day!

I was keeping an eye out for random red Ford hatchbacks with white stripes the whole time I was out there. I will eventually end up yelling something about Oppo at someone, who probably won’t even be you. Worst case though, maybe we get another local member.

Awesome selection!

I went to British Car Day last year, they hold it on a grassy area in a nearby Provincial Park, so the arrangement is neater, but all my pictures were corrupted by the bad SD card.

And speaking of MG Bs, the Hagerty Driving Experience (teaching manual to youth on classic cars through Hagerty) partnered with a nearby British car club a couple years ago, so I had my first experience in a B. The driving position didn’t fit me - my legs were too short.

The typical MG Fs and TVRs seen at shows are RHD, so private imports. You’ll see a few of each at a major show.

I like that the roadster is so closely associated with a rainy island. That’s cultural optimism right there.
