Did that little video for work. I’m almost 6'2 and nearly 200lbs so I thought it’d be cool to do one as “Do you think I’d fit?” is the question I’m asked the most :)

I know for a fact I don’t fit in a NA-NB Miata, it’s a leg length issue. Ma legs are too damn long.

This settles it. When I have a chance I’m getting a Honda Beat.

I can guarantee you I don’t fit. And if I could it’d look ridiculous.

Well, I guess that confirms my suspicions on the AZ-1... I’ve wanted one for ages, but at just shy of 6'2", I always figured I wouldn’t fit (particularly with the long legs that allow me to fit in the Elise).

Seems to be exactly as I figured it would be. I’m 6'2, skinny figure and long legs, so I guess the Beat would be my pick as well, though I wouldn’t kick the Cappuccino out, either.
Also, when you mentioned hitting your head on the frame around the windshield of the AZ-1...reminds me a lot of my first experience with a Gen V Camaro convertible, where I did the exact same thing.

This was a really great comparison and video!

Great video, thank you! I’ve long had the thought in the back of my mind to pursue a Honda Beat, but didn’t want to go through all the trouble just to find out I couldn’t actually fit inside.

This is relevant to my interests, since I’m about 6'6"

Ditto! I’m only 6’2” but my knees are always on the sides of the wheel in the NA/NB. I can’t recall if the early models had telescoping wheels, but they sure needed them.
My bro-in-law is 6’2”, 250# but shorter legs and he daily drives an NB...

I test drive a cappuccino years ago. I’m 6’1, and while I fitted ok, I found the windscreen header rail was in my line of sight to the point where I never felt comfortable driving it. Maybe I sit more upright than you.
Pity, I really loved it otherwise.

That’s pretry much me in our Mini. Still worth it.

Oh yeah if you’re either a bit too strong or a bit too fat, it gets REALLY tight all a sudden hehe

Yes I’ve seen people shorter than myself struggle with Miata in the past...

I mostly hit my head there when sitting down :)
It’s really annoying! And yes the Beat sounds the best and it is the most confortable. It’s also the slowest though.

Yeah, I’m luckily just under that limit and don’t have problem with it... With a slightly taller torso, it might indeed be in your line of sight.

Yeah the AZ1 would be a pain

Being able to test drive one is usually the best before buying anything... But I have yet to find someone who couldn’t fit in the Beat :)

You wouldn’t regret it!

Oh shit! I’d love to see you TRY to fit though :D

Thx man :)

Same for me with the Camaro. It was at a local auto show, 2013 or 2014, as it was the facelifted Gen V. Bright Yellow with the top down.
Didn’t have any issues getting in, but when I got out...bonk. Hit my head on the windshield frame. Haven’t sat in a convertible Camaro since...

Of course! I know Duncan Imports has several of them in the U.S. already, but it’s great to know I’d be able to get in and out of it before I venture across the country.
The hard part would be deciding if I’d want to daily a C5 or a Beat. It’d be a relatively pleasant problem to have.

I was already looking at possibly getting a Beat once I can afford to splurge on strange Japanese cars, but knowing that it will comfortably fit me is good. I don’t expect to fit much of anyone else, though, my family is full of giants who are almost 190cm tall :)

In the US, I’d go with the C5... The Beat is NOT a fast car and at 70mph, it does like 6500 rpm in 5th :)
The C5 is a funner daily driver for america.

I’m 188 cm, which is 6'2" in legacy units I presume, and I had a similar problem in a cappuccino. Moreover, with the roof closed my head (not just my hair) hit the roof. I had to tilt my head 45 degrees to the side and it would still hit the roof somewhat. I fit fine in it otherwise though, the width and legroom was acceptable.
I’m more torso than legs.

Haha, I imagine I might actually get stuck in one of those after watching your video
