I’ve been planning on getting my Miata’s damaged bumper touched-up since the scrap two weeks ago.
Anybody know of a good body shop in the LA (specifically San Gabriel Valley or Downtown areas) that can lay down & blend a decent candy red like the one on the Mazda? I’ve gotten a couple recommendations and one !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has experience working in the paint. Just want to see what other shops you guys would recommend I check out.
I’m willing to drive anywhere, really.

Years ago I had Ron’s Body Shop on Cabrillo down in Torrance do some amazing work on the E34 after I was sandwiched in a multi-car pile up on the 405 that made the morning news. There was a minor bit of overspray in the trunk and they forgot to repaint the kidney surrounds as instructed, but was otherwise great. It was amazing how well the painter blended in the color. The work was so good that I didn’t recognize my car when I went to pick it up, being a little jealous of whoever owned that car until I realized it was my mine! It was too bad that I crunched a fender a week or two later during a medical emergency...
They also did some work on my mother’s E320 when she got in a crash miles from home. Same high quality work.
Heck, just hanging around the lobby is fun.

friend of a friend runs T&L autobody in El Monte, they seem to do good work. haven’t had to do anything major myself though, just a fender liner replacement.
