What is “Hour Rule”?

I’ve wondered this for the last few months I’ve been cruising around on Oppo.

Hour rule applies when nobody has made a post for one hour. DOTS means Down On The Street, or a cool vehicle you happened to notice somewhere out in public as opposed to a special place like a dealer lot or car show.

hour rule = roughly an hour without fresh content, i’m awake when when most of the US based Oppo’s are asleep (i’m in Australia - east coast)

We need a Mod to Sticky this in the Rules of the Road.

As @ttyymmnn said Hour Rule just there so something new is posted every hour. There used to be a fear that if nothing is posted after an hour the site would time out making OPPO inaccessible for an some time. I dont know if this is still an issue but has just evolved to allow people post random stuff
