"BeaterGT" (beatergt)

Not Doug, the ZR1. More features than I expected out of a track monster. I dig the simple things like the screen being able to go down. Looks like Doug was afraid to get on it, understandably so.
He gave it a Styling score of 6 and calls the C7 “a simple evolution” of the C6. Not saying it deserves much higher of a score but a simple evolution is a bit of a stretch. Someone may be able to identify both generations as a Corvette but it was much more than just a face lift.

Tires are already drag slick’d. Thing’s been getting some use!

I really want him to do a video on my car.

As much as i respect the C7 ZR1, the C6 ZR1 is somehow just...cooler. Like, people expected the C7 to have 700+ horsepower, especially considering where the bar has been set by current muscle cars, but the C6 was like bringing an Atomic bomb to a knife fight, it just put everything in the dirt, seemingly out of nowhere.

Noticed that too. Owner must be really loving life.

Agreed, I’m a big fan of the C6 ZR1. Even though I was very excited to see C7s hit the roads, this ZR1 iteration didn’t give me the same chills. Maybe it was because the C6 ZR1 was supercharged when the rest of the Corvette lineup was N/A. Maybe it was this video .

Tadge Juechter told Matt Farah that the car actually makes between 800-850hp, the 755 is what it makes heat soaked.

That’s frightening.

I think the new ZR1 is just garish, particularly the hood situation with those emblems sticking out and in direct line of sight for the driver. Take those emblems off and get the low wing, and I think it’d be perfect.

It’s definitely over the top but still with the purpose of speed. Haven’t seen a good picture yet of the low wing. Not a huge fan of hood badges.
